In the journey from born-digital, to made material, back to pdf, and now in digital flip page form... are there any other ways to engage with our stories?

Some of you may recall I brought back a motley collection of hand-printed gender-queer fabric patches... I thought they'd make super-cool prayer flags or I could stitch them onto favourite old t-shirts. I donated them to our raffle and optimistically got in touch with Yori to ask if they could send us a bigger box to display/sell at the exhibition opening. When I picked them up today I think the lady in the post-office was a little shocked by the stickers... ...although I'm not sure whether it was 'ethical sloth' or 'my gender? none of your *^#! business.' Anyways... the contents are more awesome-ness... Perhaps we could sell some of Yori Gagarim's fabric patches and stickers at forthcoming events? With some zines? I know I'll be trying not to buy the whole box.
You can see some of Yori's other works on instagram and facebook... We had such a fabulous launch last weekend... I made this small slideshow out of the beautiful photos taken by our excellent Squidge Pangaro. If you like I can make it downloadable? I'm so proud of us! Did everyone get a couple of copies of the zine? If not, message me and I'll post you one. Here is a digital version. Now it remains to discuss... what next? Is all your recent work visible on your blog and the gallery? Have you shared the link with friends? Are there any service providers that we should gift some physical zines to?
And what do you think we should do with the work. It's currently stored at the Feast Hub... do you each wish to claim your own work or shall I consider approaching other spaces for further display? |
