We're running a free school holiday digital art workshop exploring self representation. It's for gender-diverse young people and their parents.
In the first half we'll look at how trans and gender-diverse celebrities collaborate with mainstream media in their digital representations (from Laverne Cox to Aydian Dowling to "I am Jazz'... and we can't forget Miley). We share our own strategies for online representation, discussing platforms from Facebook to vlogs, Twitter to Tumblr.
In the second half we make a digital self - via photo-tai-chi, twitter haiku, or meme. We work out where, when and with who we might share these parts of ourselves.
We might create new profiles. We might make new connections.
Making Digital Selves of the present and future.... past is optional ; )
